Wednesday March 12 - Mata ki Chowki

Thursday March 13 & Friday March 14 - Holi
Holi, known as the Festival of Colors, is one of India’s most vibrant and joyful celebrations. It marks the arrival of spring and symbolizes the victory of good over evil. During Holi, people gather to throw colored powders at each other, enjoy festive music, and share sweets. It’s a time of fun, unity, and renewal, with the streets filled with color and excitement.
As there are no wedding functions during these two days, feel free to take this time to explore Delhi, do some shopping, or indulge in some local cuisine. You can also opt for a visit to the iconic Taj Mahal in Agra, just a few hours away, to experience one of the world’s most beautiful landmarks.
Saturday March 15 - Sangeet

A Sangeet is a pre-wedding celebration filled with music, dancing, and performances by family and friends. It’s a lively event where both families come together to enjoy and bond before the big day. In true Esha & Himanshu fashion, this will be a classy affair, so come dressed in your best cocktail attire. Friends and family, we’re getting married.. let’s start the celebration with style!

Sunday March 16 - Haldi/Mehndi/Sufi Night

Haldi
The Haldi ceremony is a pre-wedding ritual where turmeric paste is applied to the bride and groom for good luck, glowing skin, and protection from evil.
Attire: Yellow/Orange/Cream Indian-wear
Mehndi
The Mehndi ceremony is a pre-wedding celebration where intricate henna designs are applied to the bride’s hands and feet, symbolizing beauty, love, and good luck for the marriage. Guests are welcome to have their hands/feet decorated during this ceremony.

Sufi Night
The Sufi Night is a soulful pre-wedding event filled with mystical music, qawwalis, and spiritual performances, creating an atmosphere of devotion, love, and celebration.

Monday March 17 - Band, Baaja, Baarat!

Baaraat and Milni
The Baaraat is the groom’s festive procession to the wedding venue, filled with music, dancing, and celebration. The Milni follows, where the families of the bride and groom warmly greet each other, exchanging garlands to symbolize the coming together of two families.
Wedding Ceremony
The wedding ceremony will be a vibrant and sacred ceremony that celebrates the union of two souls through a series of meaningful rituals and traditions. Central to the event is the saat phere, where the couple takes seven vows around a sacred fire, symbolizing their lifelong commitment
